By lunch time the camp site was filling up with many riders taking advantage of the good weather to try out the variety of bikes on offer during the Focus Demo Day, as well as getting in a few practice laps for the Focus Night-Time Time Trial.

Sunday had promised rain but held off until an hour after the race had finished! Some 400 riders braved the weather reports and were rewarded with fast and fun racing and plenty of close competition at the top of each category.

Endura Sleepless in the Saddle

Wednesday 12th March 2008

Endura are proud to be the title sponsor for this year's event.

Sleepless in the Saddle has for many years been the end of season celebration of Cross Country racing in the UK. At Endura we have watched this festival grow in size and atmosphere and now being able to be part of it all, is a very exciting prospect. The event brings together riders from all walks of life and all abilities and the union of cooperation and competition reflects the Endura ethos of riding for everybody.

This year as in previous years we are sure the Pro-Velo team will provide an excellent event and we at Endura will be offering some great promotions, as well as taking part in the event ourselves. Watch the press for more details of what will be on offer at SITS this year, in the coming weeks.

"Sleepless in the Saddle is an event that epitomizes the culture of what mountain biking is all about; it's less about winning and more about getting on a bike with your friends and having a good time. At Endura we have always been less interested in lining the pockets of elite superstars and more excited about supporting events and activities that encourage people to participate in cycling and to preserve its status as a healthy and sociable sport. We're all really looking forward to getting in the saddle at this year's event which I am sure will be better than ever."
Jim McFarlane, Endura

More event, race and entry details will be announced here throughout the year and more info, past results and race galleries from Joolze Dymond are available on the Sleepless in the Saddle page.
