About Sleepless in the Saddle

Endura are proud to be the title sponsor for this year's event.

Sleepless in the Saddle has for many years been the end of season celebration of Cross Country racing in the UK. At Endura we have watched this festival grow in size and atmosphere and now being able to be part of it all, is a very exciting prospect. The event brings together riders from all walks of life and all abilities and the union of cooperation and competition reflects the Endura ethos of riding for everybody.

This year as in previous years we are sure the Pro-Velo team will provide an excellent event and we at Endura will be offering some great promotions, as well as taking part in the event ourselves. Watch the press for more details of what will be on offer at SITS this year, in the coming weeks.

Event Details

Sleepless in the Saddle 24 hr MTB Race

A 24 hour endurance mountain bike race for solos, pairs and teams. More race information will be available soon as the events of the weekend are confirmed. Rules will also be available.

Catton Classic Sportive

A 100km road challenge ride starting from the mountain bike event arena on Sunday 10th August and gently winding around the country lanes. The undulating local terrain means this is an ideal route for beginners to sportive riding, being shorter with less ascent than many of the other classic road sportives. More route details to follow.

Venue Information

The event will take place at Catton Park near Walton on Trent, a popular venue with beginners and experts alike. With a maximum elevation of only 100m the course undulates around the Derbyshire countryside through fields and woodland. If you're new to mountain bike racing, this is a great course to cut your teeth on!

The event arena has excellent facilities including:

• Drinking water
• Experienced event caterers
• Onsite camping (plus more room for 2008)
• Flushing toilets and hot showers (improved for 2008)
• Expo and trade arena to browse at your leisure throughout the weekend
• Light charging facilities (courtesy of Exposure Lights)
• Bike wash
